Drain Investigation & Diagnosis (Up to 2 Hours)
Every blocked drain job starts with a proper investigation to identify the cause of the problem. Where required, we carry out a CCTV drain inspection to see inside the pipework.
Standard hours (8am–5pm)
£60 fixed investigation fee
This covers up to 2 hours of investigation and includes CCTV drain inspection if required.
Out-of-hours / emergency (before 8am, after 5pm, weekends and bank holidays)
£95 fixed investigation fee
This covers up to 2 hours of investigation and includes CCTV drain inspection if required.
Drain Unblocking – Fixed Prices
If the drain can be unblocked within the first 2 hours, the price is fixed with no hourly charges.
Standard hours
£120 total to unblock
This includes the investigation and unblocking.
Out-of-hours / emergency
£160 total to unblock
This includes the investigation and unblocking.
There are no hidden costs and no surprise charges.
Important: When You Only Pay the Investigation Fee
On rare occasions, a drain cannot be unblocked due to structural issues such as:
• Pipe collapse
• Major root incursion
• Other structural failure
In these situations, you ONLY pay the investigation fee.
The unblocking charge does not apply.
We will stop work, explain the issue clearly, and provide honest advice along with a transparent quote for any repair work. There is no obligation to proceed.
Additional Investigation Time
If further investigation is required after the initial 2 hours, and only if you ask us to continue, additional time is charged at £35 per hour.
You remain in full control of costs at all times.
